Ok. My first go at this challenge thing, and it is interesting to be challenged because I was, for the entire week; trying to think of what to shoot, what would be cool, what hasn't been done etc. But then this morning I woke up, and I realized that a challenge doesn't need to challenge you to create new exciting content that has never been seen before, rather to challenge you to always be looking, to notice the obvious, or photograph that thing you look at every morning when you wake up. So here it is- my everyday wake up moment before I pull the blinds up. Double silhouette, perhaps triple silhouette!

  1. Lovely image Caine. I like the peacefulness of this resting image in morning light. It reminds me of the work of Freeman Patterson that so inspired me way back when starting out. I really enjoy how you found what you were looking for because you stopped searching so hard and noticed the obvious and went beyond all that to bring us this. A dearly departed close friend of mine and Micky's used to say that we must look beyond the obvious like you did here with multiple layers. Thank you!

  2. Dig it. Really amped the challenge is getting us to think or not think but to get the creativity going again! Cool image Caine, I like that the front silhouette mirrors the trees behind, must also look when the blinds are up. On another note, i can now spell silhouette without relying on spell check, bonus!!
